From the very beginning, their intention was clear: to create an atmosphere that felt beautiful, immersive, and effortlessly welcoming. The conservatory itself, with its refined structure and soft, natural light, became the perfect backdrop - blending architectural elegance with a sense of intimacy that allowed every moment to unfold naturally.
Marissa approached her bridal wardrobe with the same level of intention. For the ceremony, she chose a romantic ball gown defined by lace detailing and a sculpted silhouette - classic in spirit, yet modern in execution. Later, she changed into a second look that brought a different energy to the evening: fluid, luminous, and designed for movement. Kemba’s tailoring followed a similarly timeless direction, with bespoke pieces that felt both personal and precise, created in collaboration with a longtime friend and designer Tom Paolini, who’s been tailoring his suits for over a decade, and understands his style almost instinctively.
The wedding welcomed 215 guests, including Hornets players Brandon Miller and Grant Williams, Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum, Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla, Hornets head coach Charles Lee, Monaco BC players Alpha Diallo, Jaron Blossomgame and Daniel Theis, and more.
The ceremony itself was led by Pastor Colin Crook, a close friend from their church, adding a layer of familiarity and warmth that carried throughout the day. Surrounded by family, friends, and a close-knit circle that reflected both their personal and professional worlds, the celebration felt grounded despite its scale.
As the evening unfolded, the atmosphere shifted seamlessly. Guests moved from a relaxed cocktail hour - where a harpist and string trio set a soft, elegant tone - into a vibrant reception where music, energy, and emotion gradually took over. The transition felt effortless, as if the entire day had been building toward this moment. Dinner was shared beneath the glow of the conservatory, with a menu designed to feel both elevated and familiar, encouraging a sense of ease and connection among guests.
Live performances carried the evening forward, creating a rhythm that felt both curated and spontaneous. As the night progressed, the energy deepened - formalities gave way to celebration, and the space transformed into something entirely electric. The couple’s first dance, set to Marissa’s own music, added a deeply personal layer to the evening, blurring the line between performance and memory. From there, the dance floor quickly filled, and it stayed that way - driven by a soundtrack that moved effortlessly between cities and cultures.
