The experience began with a more intimate rhythm. On the first day, Elena and Craig - now Mr. & Mrs. Standish - moved through the space in a quiet, almost cinematic photoshoot, where the architecture and light of Amanzoe framed them effortlessly. As the sun began to set, guests gathered at the amphitheater for a family dinner defined by restraint and atmosphere: an all-white palette, hundreds of candles, and a sense of stillness that allowed connection to take center stage.

The following day carried a sense of anticipation. With rain forecasted, the atmosphere felt uncertain - yet just moments before the ceremony, the weather softened, giving way to a calm, luminous setting. Overlooking the Aegean Sea and the surrounding olive groves, Elena and Craig were married in an Orthodox ceremony that felt both grounded and expansive, deeply rooted in tradition yet elevated by the landscape surrounding them.

The reception followed in the lavender gardens, where the evening unfolded with a natural rhythm. A live band, flown in from the United States, brought a sense of familiarity and energy to the celebration, with dancing seamlessly woven between courses. There was no strict separation between dinner and party - the two coexisted, creating an atmosphere that felt fluid and immersive.

Later that evening, the mood shifted. What began as quiet and contemplative transformed into something vibrant and unmistakably Greek. At the Pool Restaurant, a welcome dinner unfolded with live bouzouki music, laughter, movement, and the joyful tradition of plate breaking, that brought energy and spontaneity into the celebration.

"At the heart of it all was The Event Co., led by Anna Sourbati, whose approach to design is rooted in meaning rather than trend. Their work is not about creating events, but about shaping experiences that endure".

As the night progressed, the celebration moved indoors for a surprise after-party. With a DJ taking over and bartenders elevating the energy even further, the final chapter of the weekend became something entirely uninhibited - guests dancing late into the night, carried by a sense of freedom that only comes when everything has been thoughtfully, precisely, and beautifully brought together.

What followed felt almost cinematic in its shift - an atmosphere that moved from refined elegance into something more instinctive and alive. The music deepened, the lighting softened, and the space transformed into an intimate, high-energy environment where structure gave way to spontaneity. Shoes were abandoned, jackets loosened, and the formality of the day dissolved into pure celebration.

Beyond the design, beyond the setting, it became about energy, about people, and about the rare feeling of being exactly where you are meant to be. A closing chapter that didn’t feel like an ending, but rather a lasting imprint - one that lingered long after the music faded.

This was more than a wedding at Amanzoe.
It was a moment suspended between landscape, architecture, and emotion - where everything aligned to create something that will be remembered not only for how it looked, but for how it felt.
